Lucknow: All liquor shops in city will remain shut on Jan 22 as per an order issued by the district administration in view of the consecration ceremony in Ayodhya on Monday.
District magistrate Surya Pal Gangwar on Sunday said those found violating the order will face appropriate actions as per the law.
“On account of the consecration ceremony of Ram lalla idol in Ayodhya, the sale of all intoxicants across the city will be prohibited on Monday.All the licensees should note that they will not be entitled to any compensation or claim for the closure period. These orders are to be strictly implemented,” Gangwar said.
