Plans Afoot To Take Out Prabhat Pheris Prayagraj: Volunteers Decorate 30,000 Temples and Mutts | Allahabad News – Times of India

Prayagraj: After distributing pujit akshat (sacred unbroken rice used in puja), patrak (invitation) and photo of Ram temple among 45 lakh Hindu families in 20 districts of Kashi Prant, volunteers of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and other Hindu organisations have taken up an extensive exercise to decorate around 30,000 temples and mutts in the region on Monday to mark the consecration ceremony in Ayodhya.
“We have made necessary arrangements to decorate around 30,000 temples and mutts in Kashi Prant for which office bearers and volunteers have been assigned roles and responsibilities in villages, blocks and city pockets,” VHP’s Kashi Prant president Kavindra Pratap Singh told TOI. He added that the VHP had formed tolis of at least five volunteers at village level who will cover selected temples and mutts. Plans are afoot to take out prabhat pheris at villages, blocs and cities.
Singh further said VHP is supported by volunteers of Ramlila and Durga puja committees, Patanjali and Gayatri Pariwars along with saints of Sikh, Baudh and Jain sects to decorate temples and mutts.
Also, scores of social, religious and spiritual organisations have come forward to offer a helping hand. While carrying out grah sampark abhiyan, volunteers of VHP have also distributed Ram Dhwaj, Hanuman pataka and cut-outs among locals to deck up their houses, markets and other establishments. Singh said: “We have also appealed 45 lakh Hindu families in Kashi region to light 5 diyas (Shri Ram Jyoti) on Monday evening.”
He added all Hindus have been asked to celebrate the occasion from their homes and visit Ayodhya once the temple opens for public after Jan 22. The VHP has also made elaborate plans for live telecast of the event at prominent temples and mutts.
