Two-year-old Drowns In Ground Level Water Tank, Probe On | Coimbatore News – Times of India

Coimbatore: A two-year-old boy was found drowned in a ground level water tank at Makkinampatti near Pollachi on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Aathviq, son of Karthik and Manimegalai, of Thannatchiyappan Kovil Street in Pollachi.
Karthik had gone to a relative’s house at Makkinampatti, along with his son, on Saturday. Aathviq was playing outside when Kathik was with his relatives inside the house.After a while when Karthik looked for his son, the boy was missing. He later found the boy in a water tank on the premises of the house. He rushed the boy to the government hospital in Pollachi, but doctors declared him dead.
The child’s body was handed over to the family after a postmortem. The boy’s mother lodged a complaint with Pollachi East police, and a case was registered under section 174 of CrPC, for death under suspicious circumstances. Further investigation is on. TNN

Two missing boys, aged six and nine, were found sleeping in an abandoned auto-rickshaw in Manimajra by the police. The boys had gone missing after playing in a park. They had slept in the auto-rickshaw after finding blankets inside. The police ruled out foul play and returned the boys to their families.
