Patna: JD(U) state spokesperson Dr Sunil Kumar Singh resigned from the primary membership of the party. He shared his resignation letter on social media platform on Monday.
Sunil, in fact, resigned on December 7 following his differences with former party national president Rajiv Ranjan alias Lalan Singh, sources said. But he preferred to announce his resignation on the day of the consecration of Ram Lalla’s idol in Ayodhya.
“On this auspicious day, following the ideals of Lord Shri Ram and following his direction, I make public my resignation from the primary membership of JD(U) and the post of spokesperson.Lord Shri Ram will further guide me on my path of duty,” Dr Singh said in a post on social media.
In his resignation letter sent to the JD(U) state president Umesh Singh Kushwaha, Dr Singh thanked CM Nitish Kumar, former party president RCP Singh and former state president Bashishtha Narain Singh for giving him opportunity to work in the party, but he didn’t mention the name of Lalan.
