New Delhi: Delhi Police have detained seven people for allegedly creating ruckus near a mosque in Kalindi Kunj. Cops said they came across a video in which some bikers were seen raising slogans and waving flags in Khadda Colony. The incident took place at 4.30pm on Tuesday.
“The bikers were heading towards D block when some people gathered near the mosque and objected to their behaviour, leading to a minor scuffle,” a police officer said.Some of the bikers then abandoned their motorcycles and fled. Cops went to the spot and controlled the situation. Deputy commissioner of police (southeast) Rajesh Deo said no one was injured and they didn’t receive any complaint. “We have registered a case based on DD entry and seized nine bikes. Seven people have been detained,” he said. Police said the issue of raising objectionable slogans is being probed. TNN
