Ludhiana: Sachin, a non-medical student of School of Eminence, Jawahar Nagar, is one of the two students selected to represent Punjab at the 7th edition of the PM’s ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’. The annual event, during which PM Modi interacts with board class students on ways to tackle exam stress will be held at Bharat Mandapan, Pragati Maidan, Delhi on January 29.
While the event is streamed live across television and social media platforms, a select group of students from Classes IX to XII get to interact with the PM live.The students were selected through an online writing contest held between October 2023 and November 2023. Sachin had written on the topic- ‘Pressure of bagging a position in exams’.
The 17-year-old, whose mother Sunita Devi is a homemaker and father Vikram Singh is a sales manager at an electric store, aims to join the National Defence Academy.
Speaking to TOI, Sachin said, “I am elated that PM Modi has selected my response and I will get a chance to see him live. My friends and family are on cloud nine.”
Kuldeep Saini, principal of the school, said, “We are proud that our student has been selected for the event. He will also attend the Republic Day parade.”
Notably, Lovepreet Singh from GSSS, Dhuri village, Sangrur, has also been selected.
