Farmer’s Daughter, 24, First From Kgbv To Crack Up Pcs | Lucknow News – Times of India

LUCKNOW: Nidhi Singh, 24, comes from a background where she spent her childhood in farms to lend a helping hand to her farmer father. A bright girl, Nidhi, alumnus of a Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV), always dreamt of becoming an officer. And the UP Provincial Civil Services (UPPCS) results – announced earlier this week – gave wings to her dreams as she bagged 39th position in her first attempt, and that too, without any coaching, reports Isha Jain.
A native of Naya Gaon village, 50 kilometres from Amroha city, Nidhi said, “I am overwhelmed. My house is now swarmed by relatives, neighbours and media persons. I wanted to crack this exam to assist my father financially.”
