Jaipur: The JMC-Greater on Monday said that out of 648 open garbage depots identified so far in the city, 259 open depots have been permanently cleared. The information was shared by deputy commissioner for health during a review meeting held by commissioner Rukmani Riar.
Naveen Bhardwaj, deputy commissioner for health said that remaining 389 open depots will also be cleared in the next seven days.Till now, Rs 10 lakh has also been recovered as fine by the Swachhta Prahari team.
The commissioner was taking a review meeting regarding the city’s cleanliness system, temporary encroachment, monitoring of door-to-door garbage collection, collection of urban development tax etc. She said that complaints related to cleanliness should be resolved daily. She also directed all the zone deputy commissioners to ensure 100% door-to-door garbage collection.
Along with this, officials were also instructed to dispose of the pending cases on the Sampark Portal in time. The commissioner also instructed all the officers to adopt the e-filing system and that no file will be taken offline after February 15.
While discussing the agenda-wise points in the meeting, chief engineer Anil Singhal was instructed that drains should be cleaned on priority and before the arrival of monsoon, an action plan should be made for it. Along with this, proper monitoring of drain cleaning should also be done. She also gave instructions to speed up the repair work of the patchwork manhole.
Vigilance deputy commissioner Sandhya Yadav was instructed to remove permanent encroachment and temporary encroachments from the non-vending zone.
