PRSU to start integrated course in science stream | Allahabad News – Times of India

Prayagraj: The Prof Rajendra Singh (Rajju Bhaiya) University (PRSU) would be starting courses in science from the new academic session. The university administration has completed preparations for introducing the integrated course in science stream. In the BSc-MSc (Mathematics and biology) integrated course, students will get two combinations in five subjects of the stream.
In this five-year course, students will get the option of multiple entries and exits. Till now, Integrated Programme in Arts (IPA) BA-MA, Integrated Programme in Commerce (IPC) BCom-MCom and Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) BBA-MBA are being run by the university.
“Preparations are underway to introduce BSc-MSc mathematics and biology in the new session. There will be admissions in both these courses against 60 seats in each of these courses”, said public relation officer of the university, Avinash Kumar Srivastava. Students will be awarded a certificate in the first year, diploma in the second year, bachelor’s degree in the third year, honours in the fourth year and PG degree in the fifth, he added.
Approval has been received from the academic council and executive council for the faculty of science to introduce the course. According to vice chancellor Prof Akhilesh Kumar Singh, “Students will get the option of five subjects in the BSc-MSc programme. Mathematics, physics, chemistry, zoology and botany are included in the combination”. tnn
