Prayagraj: The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), on Sunday, condemned the sexual exploitation case involving allegedly a teacher and under graduate student of the Allahabad University and demanded immediate action by the authorities.
The activists demanded suspension of the teacher accused and thorough investigation by a high-level committee.The university administration must conduct a comprehensive inquiry into the matter and ensure strict disciplinary measures against the guilty, they said.
State joint secretary of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Aanchal Singh, said, “This unfortunate event has hurt the reputation of Allahabad University and ABVP stands firm in its demand for investigation into the matter and strict action.”
ABVP’s AU unit president Shivam Singh raised concerns about the “autocratic behaviour” of teachers of the university and said accusation of sexual harassment against a teacher was shameful and silence of the authorities in the matter was troubling. AU’s PRO Jaya Kapoor said the matter had been sent to the internal complaint committee for investigation.

BJP MP Tanavade will address the internal matter of allegations made by Speaker Tawadkar against Minister Gaude. He will speak to both of them and CM Sawant. Tanavade also commented on the issue of EVMs, saying it is not a valid concern. Additionally, he plans to discuss the matter of alleged cheating by cooperative societies with CM Sawant.
