Coimbatore: A decomposed body was found inside a parked car in Pollachi on Sunday.
Police said the car belongs to S Prasath, 27, of Sripuram Mahadev Layout at Panikkampatti in Pollachi. He runs Annapoorani hotel on Pollachi New Scheme Road.
Prasath had parked his car in front of his home after returning from work on January 25. The car’s lock was broken so he could not lock the doors.He did not use his car after that.
When he opened the car around 8.15am on Sunday, he found a decomposing body of an unidentified man inside the car and alerted Mahalingapuram police. A police team rushed to the spot and sent the body to the Pollachi government hospital for a postmortem. Police said the deceased was likely aged about 50 to 60-years-old
A case has been registered and further investigation is on. TNN
