Jaipur: Following the example set by MB Hospital in Udaipur, the SMS Hospital here has issued a QR code for helping attendants and patients in registering their complaints and suggestions related to cleanliness and sanitation.
Such a system was first introduced by MB Hospital and proved successful in ensuring cleanliness at the hospital. Now patients or their attendants at SMS Hospital can also scan a QR code to raise complaints, which will be attended to within half an hour.
“The QR code will be displayed in different parts of the hospital within two days. A patient or attendant can scan it and upload the picture of the area in the hospital that requires cleanliness,” said Dr Achal Sharma, medical superintendent of SMS Hospital.
The uploaded picture with the complaint will reach the hospital administration and the contractor roped in for cleanliness by the hospital administration. The contractor will immediately send a sanitation worker to the spot and clean the place, whether it is the washroom, ward, corridors, waiting areas, registration counter centre, or any other place in the hospital. After cleaning the place, the contractor will upload the picture of the cleaned area and inform the hospital administration that the complaint had been resolved.
At Udaipur’s MB hospital, the complaint raised through QR code reaches the control room. The hospital administration has stationed two sanitation workers there, who immediately reache the place from where the complaint is raised for cleaning it. When the complaint is raised, the system alerts the staff with the sound of a buzzer.
