Two Of Gang That Stole Car Batteries In Police Net | Gurgaon News – Times of India

Gurgaon: Two members of a gang that stole car batteries were arrested on Tuesday. The accused used to target parked cars in residential areas and to execute the crime they had stolen a car.
The accused, Kunwarpal and Monu, were arrested after a CCTV camera captured them stealing from a shop in Sector 5 on Feb 5. ACP (crime) Varun Dahiya said, “During the investigation, we found that one of the accused, Sonu, has been to jail several times, and 13 theft cases have been registered against him.”
The two, buried under debts, started stealing car batteries and other items.They stole a Tata Ace, mounted a fake number plate, and used a pickup vehicle to execute their crime.
They recced their target areas during the day to assess security arrangements and police movement. At night, they would move in the stolen vehicle and break the locks of shops to steal items. They also used stolen batteries from parked cars in the residential areas. The accused were produced before the court.
