PUNE: Ruby Hall Clinic, in collaboration with the Oncology Group of Pune (OGP), recently organized the Umeed KiRun marathon for cancer patients and survivors.
Held at the BJ Medical ground in Pune on Sunday, February 4, the marathon featured multiple categories, including 1 km, 3 km, 5 km, and 10 km, with both starting and ending points at the B J Government Medical College Ground.The event coincided with World Cancer Day.
Organized in coordination with OGP, Free Runners, and BJ Medical College, the marathon brought together participants from various backgrounds. Guests, including young cancer survivors Shivani Charak and Prathmesh Sinha, alongside breast cancer survivor and advocate Poorva Sumit Gadiya, were part of the event. Participants, comprising cancer patients, survivors, their families, medical professionals, and supporters, were also present.
