Jaipur: Deputy chief minister Prem Chand Bairwa on Wednesday instructed transport officials to issue notices to vehicle owners who had not clear their road tax. “The review meeting on Wednesday was completely focussed on revenue target and revenue yields. The government to achieve 100% of revenue target. As a part of improving our revenue achievements, we have been instructed to go strong on vehicle owners who had not cleared their taxes,” said a senior transport official.
Bairwa praised the efforts of RTO Jaipur-II for earning more revenue than the target.He took feedback from the RTO DTO officers who earned less revenue than the targets and gave instructions to prepare an action plan to achieve 100% revenue.
Officials stated that additional chief secretary of transport and road safety department, Shreya Guha had asked the regional and district transport officers to regularly monitor the work of their subordinate officers and prepare action plans to achieve the revenue targets in the remaining two months.
