School for Kids with Cancer Chennai: Inauguration of ‘Canshala’ on World Cancer Day | Chennai News – Times of India

Chennai: On the occasion of World Cancer Day on Feb 4 and International Childhood Cancer Day on Feb 15, school education minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi inaugurated ‘Canshala’, a school for children with cancer. Affiliated to Government Model Higher Secondary School, Nandanam, the satellite school at T Nagar is being run by Cankids, under an MOU signed between department of school education and Cankids in Sept 2022.tnn

World Cancer Day: Walkathon held in Chennai
Around 650 students and staffers from three colleges, along with participants from Gleneagles Global Health City, took part in a Walkathon on World Cancer Day. The 4km walk from NIOT in Pallikaranai to Pallikaranai police station aimed to raise awareness about early detection, fighting cancer, and ensuring access to cancer care.
