Pune: State vice-president of Congress and former MLC Mohan Joshi on Thursday started ‘Wake Up Punekar’ campaign to highlight the issue of traffic congestion in the city. The campaign kickstarted from Swargate junction, where Joshi and other Congress leaders asked commuters about their daily issues. “We created a questionnaire in which we are asking citizens not only to list the problems faced by them but also the solutions they feel can work towards improving the traffic situation in the city.These suggestions will be submitted to the state govt and PMC, Joshi said.
According to Joshi, the campaign will continue for the next 15 days. Volunteers will visit various junctions in the city to ascertain the problems faced by commuters and also suggestions offered by them.
