The doctors used catheters which were strategically placed in both uterine arteries to supply blood to the uterus. This pre-emptive measure proved instrumental in stabilizing patient’s condition and mitigating the risk of excessive bleeding during childbirth.Following successful delivery, the team utilised the same catheters to block the internal iliac arteries, effectively reducing blood flow to the uterus and facilitating removal of placenta.
