Hyderabad: The state govt on Sunday transferred 395 Mandal Parishad Development Officers (MPDOs).
In the wake of the Lok Sabha elections, the state govt has taken up the transfers on the orders of the Election Commission.
In December, the EC had issued directives to all states to transfer employees working in their own district as well as employees who have been working in the same place for more than three years to other districts.On Saturday, the revenue department transferred 132 tehsillars and 32 deputy collectors. tnn

The state govt lifted the ban on transfers for 10 days. Transfers can be made in all departments, corporations, and boards between Feb 10-20. MLAs have been pressing for lifting the ban on transfers. Grade III teachers are not included in this order.
