Amy Jackson recently shared heartfelt details about her engagement to longtime partner Ed Westwick and also revealed how her son Andreas played a pivotal role in their relationship. Amy was previously engaged to London-based entrepreneur George Panayiotou, with whom she shares four-year-old son Andreas.
In her recent interview, Amy spoke candidly about how Ed has been an integral part of Andreas’ life since he was introduced to him at the tender age of two.”Andreas has known Ed since his whole existence. We were very good friends, and he’s been a part of his life for as long as he can remember. So, I think that’s one of the reasons I love Ed so much. It is because of the relationship he has with Andreas, and how supportive he is of me as a mother and as a working mom,” she told India Today.
Recalled a heartwarming exchange with her son, Amy said that it was Andreas who encouraged her to get engaged to Ed. “He was delighted. It was so funny because a few months ago, I had a ring, and it was on this finger. And he was like, ‘Mummy, you’re not married?’ And he asked, ‘Why are you not married to Eddie mummy?’” Amy recounted with a smile.

Andreas’ innocent inquiry sparked a conversation that ultimately led to Ed popping the question. “I said, ‘He hasn’t asked me,’ and he said ‘Well, I am going to tell him,'” Amy chuckled. “I don’t know whether that was an encouragement from his side. He gave the green light even before Ed probably had it in his mind.”

According to the pictures posted by Amy, 31, on social media, Westwick, 36 proposed to her on a bridge in Gstaad, Switzerland. On January 29, the couple announced their engagement after dating for almost two years.
