SHIMLA: Nine days after he went missing following an accident at Kashang Nullah in Kinnaur district, body of 45-year-old Chennai resident Vetri Duraisamy was retrieved from the Satluj river.
The body was recovered about 3 km away from the accident spot by a diver from the Mahun Nag Association on Monday.
Vetri Duraisamy was the son of former mayor of Chennai Saidai Duraisamy.His family had earlier announced a reward of Rs 1 crore for anyone who finds him.
Vetri and 32-year-old Gopinath, also from Tamil Nadu, were returning to Shimla from Spiti on Feb 4 when driver Tenzin, a resident of Tabo in the Spiti sub-division, lost control over the vehicle at Kashang Nullah and it rolled down into the Satluj river. TNN
