Nagpur: A dispute over a love affair turned ugly at Pachkuwa area of Pachpaoli in the wee hours of Monday where a dreaded goon was assaulted by another gang. The Pachpaoli police have arrested three hardened criminals for attempt to murder.
Abhishek Gulabe, 23, a former externee, sustained serious injuries on his neck and other body parts after allegedly being assaulted by notorious criminal Rohit Naharkar and his two aides, identified as Shyam Kusere and Rajkumar Lachalwar, during a scuffle.
Naharkar, who had a murder case against him in 2016, too was externed from the city limits in the past, said police. Kusere and Lachalwar have several offences against them.
It’s learnt, Gulabe’s friend was in a romantic relationship with one of the relatives of Naharkar. Despite opposition from their families, the lovebirds had decided to enter wedlock.
Naharkar had summoned Gulabe to his area for settling the dispute between the two families over the affair. Gulabe along with his friend went to meet Naharkar. After some heated argument, Naharkar and his aides pinned down Gulabe and assaulted him with swords.
Cops rushed an injured Gulabe to a private hospital.
