Hyderabad: Police probing the suicide of two SSC students in a SC welfare hostel in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri a week ago have found the handwriting in the suicide note, which was recovered from the room where the girls were found hanging, matched with that of one of them.
Cops had sent the suicide note and notebooks of both girls for forensic analysis after their parents alleged foul play and claimed the note was not written by the girls.
The post-mortem examination (PME) has also indicated that the deaths was due to hanging. Except for an injury on their throats indicative of hanging, the PME did not find any external or internal injuries on the bodies of both the girls.
The results of forensic analysis of the viscera samples of both girls was expected to take a few more days.
Meanwhile, police have also taken the statements of other students in the hostel, both in writing and video recording. The statements of the hostel warden and other staff have also been recorded.
Further, a technical probe against the hostel staff and an auto driver blamed by the girls’ parents was also under process, cops said.
Bhongir DCP M Rajesh Chandra told TOI that the investigation was continuing and a report would soon be submitted to the court.
