Assam Boy Tops JEE Main 2024 from Northeast | Guwahati News – Times of India

Guwahati: Assam’s Jyotishman Saikia topped the JEE (Main) Session 1 exam 2024 from northeast, results of which were declared by the National Testing Agency (NTA) late on Monday.
In the list of state-wise toppers and their NTA scores in Paper 1 (BE/BTech), Jyotishman is also the state topper from Assam with an NTA score of 99.92.
Jyotishman, from Guwahati, said, “I focussed on basics and cleared all the concepts through NCERT textbooks.I also focused on rigorous time management.”
His plan is to pursue BTech in computer science from one of the old IITs — Delhi, Bombay or Kharagpur.
Tripura’s Antareep Ray stood second among the aspirants from the seven NE states. He secured an NTA score of 99.82 percentile. From Arunachal Pradesh, Vinnakota Sneha Naga Sanjana is the state topper with 99.42 NTA score. Siddek Ahmed Choudhury topped from Nagaland with 98.87 NTA score, while Rohan Singh Leishangthem stood first from Manipur with 98.53 .
Abhijnan Saraswat Gogoi and John Laldingliana are state toppers from Meghalaya and Mizoram with NTA scores of 98.09 and 93.62 respectively.
