UP Board exams: Dist divided into 11 zones and 21 sectors | Kanpur News – Times of India

Kanpur: The district administration on Tuesday made elaborate arrangements to conduct the UP Board’s high school and intermediate examination in a copy free, fair, transparent, peaceful and clean manner. The UP Board’s examination will commence from February 22 and continue till March 9.
District magistrate Rakesh Kumar Singh presided over a meeting with zonal/sector/static magistrate/centre administrators, outer centre administrators and principals of examination centres held at Kailash Bhawan CSA University here on Tuesday.According to DIOS Kumar, 9621 students will appear in high school and intermediate examinations in around 129 examination centres. Among them 50,434 are boys and 45,687 are girl examinees.
He said in order to conduct the examinations safely, the district has been divided into 11 zones and 21 sectors where zonal and sector magistrates have been appointed. Besides this, 129 centre administrators and 129 external centre administrators and centre-wise static magistrates have been appointed in a total 129 examination centres.
Two control rooms (one online, one offline) have been formed. The mobile number of the online control room is 8423410857 and of the offline control room is 9453991942. The online control room has been set up at Government Girls Inter College, Chunniganj and the offline control room at Government Inter College, Chunniganj, he added The DM directed the officials to implement the provisions of section 144 Cr P C in the radius of 100 metres of the examination centres. The operation of photocopiers and scanners within a radius of one km from the examination centres should be completely banned during the examination period, he said. He also directed to ban use of loudspeakers near the examination centres. To curb anti-social elements and people involved in cheating, information should be collected from the LIU and other sources and necessary protective measures should be taken at the examination centres, he stated. The DM said that entry of any officer/employee with mobile phone would be strictly prohibited in the strong room, arrangements for 24×7 armed police force should be made mandatory for the security of the strong room at the examination centres,so that the security and sanctity of the question papers is maintained at the examination centres.
To lodge complaints about cheating in board exams, government has issued toll free numbers–18001805310 and 18001805312, on which complaints can be made, DM added.
