Patna: Both the state CPI(ML) legislature party in the assembly and party workers in general are agitated over the life term served on the party’s MLA from Agiaon in Bhojpur district, Manoj Manjil, and 22 others in a murder case. The ML leaders claimed they were framed in a false case.
On Wednesday, the MLAs of the party led by their legislature party leader Mahboob Alam, besides other party functionaries, took out a procession to register their protests.
CPI(ML) general secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya said, “What has happened to Manjil and 22 others is a case of gross injustice. He and others were implicated in a false case. There have been massacres in the state in which Dalits and people of weaker sections were killed by the assailants.”
