Gurgaon: The minimum temperature on Friday dropped slightly to 8.5 degrees Celsius from Thursday’s 9.1 degrees, while the maximum temperature was recorded at 25.4 degrees Celsius.
This is the highest maximum temperature so far for this season, indicating a gradual shift in the weather. Meteorologists said the pleasant weather is set to continue over the weekend, with clear skies and sunshine expected to dominate.The weather department has also forecasted that the daytime temperature will steadily rise over the next few weeks, signaling the onset of spring. However, nights are expected to remain cool, with mercury dipping to comfortable levels.
“A fresh western disturbance is likely to affect western Himalayan region from Feb 17. Under the influence, light to moderate rain is likely at isolated places on Sunday,” an IMD official said.
The city’s air quality stayed in the ‘poor’ category at 230 on Friday from 204 on Thursday.
