Nagpur: Deep Sudhakar’s all-round effort guided Navbharat to a comfortable 28-run victory over Tarun Bharat in the 24th Ankur Seeds-SJAN T20 cricket tournament at Vasant Nagar ground on Friday.
Batting first, Navbharat scored 164 for 7 in 20 overs. Deep top scored with 45 (32 b, 4×7) and Rahul Abhyankar added 43 (49b, 4×3). For Tarun Bharat, Mannu Bawa (3 for 19) was the main wicket taker. In reply, Tarun Bharat were able to score 136 for 8 in 20 overs. Nikhil Kelapure 49 (48 b, 4×6) was unfortunate to miss the half century by just one run. For Navbharat, Deep and Junaid Sheikh took two wickets each.
Director of Shankhnad Sunil Kuhikar gave the man-of-the-match trophy to Deep.
