Nagpur: A team of Nagpur division of Central railway slapped Rs 1 lakh fine on the catering vendor operating the pantry car in Hyderabad Deccan-Hazrat Nizamuddin Dakshin Superfast Express earlier this week.
Sources said the inspection team, led by CR’s senior divisional commercial manager, Nagpur division, Aman Mittal, found many discrepancies and unhygienic conditions during a surprise visit to the pantry car of Dakshin Express.
The team also found that mandatory police verification and medical fitness certificates of the pantry car staff did not meet the standard norms or were not in place during the check.
