The civic body did better when it came to property tax, collecting Rs 125 crore against a target of Rs 130 crore. For next year, the MC has set a target to collect Rs 150 crore in property tax, as has been mandated by the 15th Finance Commission.
In the case of water supply and sewer dues, the MC could collect just Rs 34 crore out of a target of Rs 60 crore.
The civic body had a poor showing in other targets too. From advertisements, the MC could just collect Rs 6.75 crore against a Rs 10.5-crore target. It did better last year, collecting Rs 9 crore against a target of Rs 12 crore.
From rental income, MC made Rs 1.02 crore, against a target of Rs 2.35 crore.
