LUCKNOW: A day after Narendra Modi cited invites from various countries for events in July to showcase his confidence about becoming the PM for the third term, defence minister Rajnath Singh on Monday went a step further to claim that Modi will also secure a fourth term as PM.
“The country’s growth and development will touch new heights under Modi’s third and fourth tenures as PM,” said Rajnath at the groundbreaking ceremony (GBC 4.0) in Lucknow.
In his eight-minute welcome address, Rajnath, MP from Lucknow, mentioned ‘Prime Minister’ 16 times and described him as the brightest star in the galaxy of global leaders.
He said that Modi stands apart from others for his unique perspective on issues.
“While other public representatives are unable to look beyond crises, problems, or immediate gains, PM Modi’s vision and foresight enable him to see opportunities, solutions, and long-term outcomes,” said the Defence Minister.
Lauding PM as one of the most influential leaders at the world forum, Rajnath said, “In the last 10 years, the strong foundation PM has laid for the country’s progress, we all firmly believe that during Modi’s upcoming tenures as PM for the third and fourth time, the country’s growth and development will touch a new height.”
Commenting on the relationship between public representatives and the corporate world, Rajnath said, “Meeting industrialists was considered no less than a political risk for any public representative. It was believed that a partnership between politicians and industrialists is not good for the development of the nation. No one paid attention to the fact that if politicians and industrialists work together with clear intentions, the nation will progress.”
“When Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, the country witnessed how he brought about transformative changes in Gujarat by collaborating with industrialists. The fragrance of this change has not only spread across India but has also reached far and wide globally. Non-BJP ruled states, along with several BJP-governed states, are also moving forward following the Gujarat model of development,” he further added.
Praising CM Yogi Adityanath, Singh said, “CM’s efforts in creating an investment-friendly environment in Uttar Pradesh over the past seven years have resulted in the current surge of investments.”
“This is just the beginning. The GBC is a testament to the direction in which investments are flowing into Uttar Pradesh under the leadership of both PM and CM,” he said.
