Mystery Surrounds Death of Ganjam Woman and Son Found Dead at Home | Bhubaneswar News – Times of India

Berhampur: Mystery shrouds the deaths of a 28-year-old woman and her seven-year-old son whose bodies were recovered by the police from a house about 50km from Berhampur at Chudialanji village under Jarada police station limits in Ganjam district on Monday.
The deceased were identified as D. Nilabeni and her son D. Rushi, police said.
D.Meghnad, the woman’s father, has lodged a complaint in Jarada police station.He, however, did not mention any suspect’s name in the complaint.
The duo lived in the house where their bodies were found. The deceased woman’s husband, D.Mohan Rao, works in Abu Dhabi and her in-laws resided in a separate house nearby.
“The exact cause of their deaths would be ascertained once we get the postmortem report,” Berhampur superitendent of police Saravana Vivek M said, adding that a police team and a sniffer dog have been pressed into service for the investigation. “We are investigating the case from all possible angles,” he added.
Police said the woman’s mother-in-law, who had a spare key of her son’s house, found the bodies once she unlocked the front door. Prior to that, she had been knocking on their door for a long time.
