CM to launch projects worth 4k cr in Kodangal Hyderabad: Kodangal | Hyderabad News – Times of India

Hyderabad: Kodangal, which is represented by chief minister A Revanth Reddy, is set for a major facelift. On Wednesday, the CM will lay the foundation for projects worth 3,961 crore in the constituency. The CM will also address a huge public meeting at Kosgi.
This will be the first visit of Revanth to Kodangal after he took over as the CM on December 7 following the Congress victory in assembly elections.The CM was also expected to meet people of the constituency.
While some projects are new, there are pending projects where work would be restarted. The projects include the Narayanpet-Kodangal lift irrigation scheme estimated to cost 2,945 crore, a medical college with 50 seats, nursing, physiotherapy, engineering, degree and junior colleges, school buildings, improving double lane roads, 33/11 KV sub-station, 220-bed government hospital etc.
The state govt has already issued the GOs for taking up the projects in Kodangal. During campaigning, Revanth had promised to bring Krishna water by completing the Narayanpet-Kodangal lift irrigation scheme.
The govt has already constituted Kodangal Area Development Authority (KADA) on Dec 29, 2023 under the supervision of Vikarabad collector for focussed development. The CM has directed officials to ensure creation of infrastructure for social development such as health, education, water conservation and sustainable agricultural.

The Congress govt will present the white paper on irrigation projects in the state on Saturday. The govt postponed the presentation by a day as the assembly discussed the caste census on Friday. Speaker Gaddam Prasad Rao informed opposition leaders about the postponement. BRS leader and MLA T Harish Rao objected to the postponement.
