Councillor Arrested for Assaulting 3 in Jammikunta, Karimnagar District | Hyderabad News – Times of India

Hyderabad: A local municipal councillor at Jammikunta in Karimnagar district attacked three persons on Tuesday after he came to know that the victims had lodged a complaint against him for occupying government land.
The victims — Marri Mallaiah, K Raju and M Ramesh — lodged a complaint accusing the councillor of drilling a borewell on a land, which the victims claim belongs to government.The councillor Medipally Ravinder lost his cool after he saw the complainants at the site of the borewell.
Police said that when Ravinder got annoyed after being questioned about drilling the borewell. “He charged towards the victims, picked up a rod and started to attack one of the complainants. When two more persons, including a woman, tried to stop him, he pushed them away too,” police said.
The victim suffered injury on his dead and was shifted to hospital, where he was undergoing treatment. The incident of assault was recorded on a phone.
Later, based on the complaint given by the victims the accused was taken into custody.
