Udhagamandalam: Nilgiris collector M Aruna on Wednesday inspected implementation of the Ungalai Thedi Ungal Ooril scheme in Kotagiri taluk.
She scrutinized the bookkeeping at the Nilgiris district horticulture employees’ thrift society and verified stocks at the PDS shop at Donnington.
Aruna also took stock of the facilities at the government primary health centre at S Kaikatty and interacted with the doctors and the medical staff there.
While checking the quality of food being served to students of the government tribal residential school at Karikaiyur, she also joined them for a meal.
She also inspected the anganwadi at Kothimukku village and work on houses for tribals at Kadinamala village.
Later, Aruna held a review meeting with the officials of various departments at the tahsildar office in Kotagiri. She also received petitions from the public and distributed welfare measures to two disabled people. tnn
