Teacher killed in Duliajan accident Dibrugarh: A 32-year-old teacher | Guwahati News – Times of India

Dibrugarh: A 32-year-old teacher, Daisy Bokoliyal Saikia, lost her life in a road accident that took place on the Duliajan-Naharkatia road in Dibrugarh district on Wednesday.
Saikia, an assistant teacher at No. 56 Merbill Chariali Primary School in Duliajan, was riding her scooter on the Duliajan-Naharkatia road when she was hit by an unidentified vehicle.Saikia, a resident of Namrup, was on the way to her workplace.
Police transported Saikia’s body to the Assam Medical College and Hospital in Dibrugarh for post mortem and launched an investigation into the incident.
In the meanwhile, locals voiced their concern over the deteriorating road condition of the Duliajan-Naharkatia road, citing numerous accidents that have occurred in the past due to the poor state of the infrastructure.
