New Delhi: Nine people from Bathinda in Punjab, who claimed to have come to protest against EVMs, were intercepted at Sarai Rohilla railway station. After deboarding a train at the station, they wanted to proceed to Jantar Mantar but were sent back, police said. “On Thursday, nine people from Punjab arrived in connection with the EVM Hatao and Old Pension Scheme protests.Lacking permission to demonstrate at Jantar Mantar, they chose to return to their home state. No one was detained,” cops said. tnn
