Rajasthan Exam Mafia Helped Many Get Govt Jobs: SOG | Jaipur News – Times of India

JAIPUR: Many people across the state are suspected to have secured govt jobs through fraud committed by a network of paper leak mafia over the past couple of years, Special Operations Group (SOG) sources said on Thursday.
This came to light following the arrest of govt employees in paper leak scandals, sources said. A recent assessment of suspects held in the REET paper leak of 2021 by the SOG indicate that 50 govt employees had played some part in leaking question papers of the senior teacher recruitment exam 2022, JEN 2020, and the police constable recruitment exam 2021.
A few weeks ago, the SOG had arrested Dalu Ram Meena, who was undergoing training at the Rajasthan Police Academy (RPA), for allegedly securing a selection after cheating in the sub-inspector (SI) exam.
On Tuesday, Rajendra Kumar Yadav (30), also an SI, was held for his role in the JEN 2020 paper leak case.
Sources said that evidence was mounting that indicated the exam mafia had facilitated the recruitment of undeserving candidates in govt jobs.
Other than Yadav, the SOG had also arrested Harshvardhan Kumar Meena, a suspended patwari; another person also named Rajendra Kumar Yadav (50), a govt teacher; and Shivratan Mot, also known as Shiva (30), posted as a librarian; in the paper leak case.
Subsequent investigations point to those implicated may have secured selection deceitfully through illicit means, sources said.
An SOG official also said close family members of Yadav and Meena held positions within the govt, raising suspicions about their involvement too, which are being probed now.
Sources said to TOI that unravelling the full extent of the paper leaks may prove to be lengthy, but held the initial probe casts doubts on claims made by recruitment agencies regarding transparency of examination processes.
Sources also said paper leak syndicates, involving people like Meena and others like Jagdish Bishnoi, Sher Singh Meena and Suresh Dhaka, have been active for several years and could’ve orchestrated many such exam scams.
