Ludhiana rural police arrests three vehicles thieves, recovers 11 motorcycles – Times of India

LUDHIANA: Ludhiana rural police has arrested three members of vehicle theft gang after it recovered eleven motorcycles from them. The arrested accused were identified as Gurpreet Singh of Gagda village, Amandeep Singh of Saleempur village and Rajpreet Singh of Bhaini Araiyan whereas two other accused were identified as Jeevan Singh of Chakkar village and Nirjit Singh of Saleempur village.
Police officials said that a police party of CIA (Crime Investigating Agency) Staff was present at bus stand in Sawaddi Khurd village for checking. They added that police party got information that the accused would steal motorcycles and other vehicles from various places and sell them at a low price.
Cops said that as per the tip off, the accused Gurpreet, Amandeep and Rajpreet are coming towards Jagraon city on motorcycle with the intention of selling that and stealing more motorcycles. They added that acting on the information, the accused who were coming on without number plate motorcycle were stopped at a bridge at Ramgarh Bhullar.
Police officials said that during interrogation, on the disclosure of the accused, police recovered ten more motorcycles which were stolen by them from different places.
