Moose Wala Murder Case: Another Accused Seeks Discharge | Chandigarh News – Times of India

Bathinda: After Lawrence Bishnoi, Jaggu Bhagwanpuria and Charanjit Singh, another accused — Jagtar Singh — on Friday filed an application for discharge in the murder case of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala in the court of Mansa sessions judge. The court has sought reply on it and adjourned the matter to March 11.
Notably, replies on discharge pleas by three accused have not been filed by the prosecution due to lawyers’ strike. Also, the defence has failed to file reply on the application moved by prosecution during the previous hearing on Feb 8, calling the status report regarding the evidence of videos of Bishnoi about confession of conspirators regarding murder plan of Sidhu Moose Wala.
An application was moved in the court on Sept 18, 2023, on behalf of Sidhu Moose Wala’s father Balkaur Singh, demanding from the police details of the ongoing investigations, especially in the light of two back-to-back interviews of Bishnoi, which were aired by a news channel. Balkaur Singh’s counsel had submitted a pen drive containing clips of both the interviews. Earlier, most of the accused, barring Bishnoi, had appeared in the court through video-conferencing from various jails where they have been lodged. tnn
