New Delhi: The city witnessed a fall in both minimum and maximum temperatures on Friday due to clear sky and cold winds, they are expected to rise towards Saturday.
On Friday, the minimum temperature was 7.6 degrees Celsius, four notches below normal against 10.8 degrees Celsius a day earlier. The maximum temperature was 24.4 degrees Celsius, a notch below normal against 26.2 degrees Celsius.
The maximum temperature might see marginal rise and is expected to reach 29 degrees Celsius within next six days. According to India Meteorological Department officials, Feb so far has been less warm compared to last year when the maximum temperature had reached 33.6 degrees Celsius.While it has reached 29.3 degrees Celsius so far this year with weather officials expecting it not to go beyond 29 degreess due to arrival of another western disturbance and possibility of drizzling early next week.tnn
