NEW DELHI: Three people were rescued after a fire broke out in a house in Lajpat Nagar area of southeast Delhi. The Delhi Fire Services received a call about the blaze at 1:57 am and deployed five fire engines to the scene.
A senior DFS official said, they rescued three individuals, including two senior citizens, one of whom is differently-abled. The rescued individuals were taken to a nearby hospital to receive treatment for minor burn injuries.
The official also mentioned that the incident was reported to the police and it is believed that the fire was caused by a short circuit.
