Chandigarh/Rohtak: Following Punjab chief secretary Anurag Verma’s letter to his Haryana counterpart seeking the handing over of a 27-year-old Punjab farmer who was injured at Khanauri and admitted to Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS) at Rohtak, the severely injured farmer was on Saturday shifted to PGI Chandigarh.
Verma’s letter to Haryana chief secretary Sanjeev Kaushal, said, “It has come to our notice that Pritpal Singh from Punjab who got hurt during the farmers’ agitation is undergoing treatment at PGI Rohtak.You are requested to hand him over to the Punjab authorities so that his treatment may be done free of cost.” He added that any other farmer under treatment should be handed over to Punjab.
