Patna: Police have arrested 21 persons for indulging in a violent clash that broke out between two groups at Bhusaula village under Phulwarisharif police station area in Patna district on Friday evening. Six persons from both groups were injured in the incident, police said on Saturday.
According to the police, the clash broke out after one group, under the influence of liquor, started abusing and assaulting the youths of another group who were sitting on the roadside. After some time, people from both sides indulged in a fight and later stone-pelting at each other. The situation turned serious when someone in the mob started firing bullets. On being informed, a large number of police force from Danapur, Phulwarisharif, Rupaspur, Airport, Anisabad and Shastrinagar police stations reached the spot and controlled the situation.
“The police chased away the people who were creating nuisance. However, Phulwarisharif SHO Safir Alam and two constables were injured in stone pelting by the miscreants. Six people from two groups were also injured, who were admitted to Patna AIIMS, and later discharged after giving primary treatment,” said City SP,West, Abhinav Dhiman.
