Samsung will be displaying its intelligent health lineup at MWC, offering users even more personalised and seamless health experiences with the transformative power of AI, across even more devices. The company confirmed this in a press release.
What’s notable is the announcement — or rather official unveil — of the Galaxy Ring. “As part of this portfolio, Galaxy Ring is being unveiled as a new health form factor that simplifies everyday wellness, supporting smarter and healthier living via a more connected digital wellness platform — Samsung Health,” the company said.
Do keep in mind that Samsung will just unveil — and not launch — the Galaxy Ring. In other words, this is the first time the device will be showcased. The launch date of the Galaxy Ring is not yet known.
Samsung is also set to exhibit upcoming intelligent health features. For example, My Vitality Score offers personalised health insights based on multiple factors including Sleep, Activity, Heart Rate and Heart Rate Variability, while Booster Card helps make each day healthier by tracking predefined goals and delivering actionable insights. My Vitality Score is a personalised metric which combines data from sleep, activity, heart rate, and heart rate variability to offer a holistic view of your well-being. Booster Card is a feature which helps you achieve your health goals by tracking predefined objectives and providing actionable insights.
My Vitality Score will be made available on Samsung Health within 2024. Availability may vary by market, carrier, or wearable device, noted Samsung. The same goes for Booster Card feature as it will be made available some time this year.
Matthew Wiggins, a clinical research scientist at Samsung Research, spoke about the Galaxy Ring during the January 2024 Galaxy Unpacked event. Samsung described the Galaxy Ring as a “powerful and accessible health and wellness device.”
Wiggins highlighted some of the features expected to accompany the Galaxy Ring. For instance, Samsung Health will include capabilities to monitor potential sleep apnea symptoms by tracking sleep patterns, changes in blood oxygen levels, and maintaining heart rate alerts during sleep.
