Suchitra Krishnamoorthi wants Aryan Khan to play Shah Rukh Khan in ‘Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa’ remake | – Times of India

Suchitra Krishnamoorthi recently celebrated 30 glorious years of #Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa’. The actress also suggested that Aryan Khan could potentially portray Shah Rukh Khan‘s character if a remake of the Kundan Shah directorial were to be remade.
In an exclusive interview with Zoom, Suchitra was questioned about the likelihood of a sequel to ‘Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa‘ and her thoughts on potential actors for the lead roles.

Suchitra mentioned that she had been frequently asked about potential actors for the roles of Sunil and Anna in a potential sequel to ‘Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa.’ She suggested Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt in the past, but considers them too old for the roles now. Krishnamoorthi believes that for the remake, new, young, and vulnerable actors are needed, proposing the idea of Kaveri playing Anna. She also considered Aryan Khan for the role of Sunil, but noted that he is not pursuing acting.

Krishnamoorthi discussed the potential for a sequel to the film, acknowledging that its not-so-happy ending was part of its charm. She emphasized that ‘Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa’ resonated with audiences because it portrayed a slice of life, acknowledging that heartbreaks are a reality. While Krishnamoorthi pondered the idea of a sequel exploring the aftermath for Anna, Chris, and Sunil, she also expressed reservations, stating that some films, like ‘Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa,’ should not be tampered with.

Shah Rukh Khan took to his social media platform, X (formerly known as Twitter), to share an endearing message as his 1994 film ‘Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa’ celebrated its 30th anniversary since release.
