Three members of vehicle-lifters’ gang arrested | Ludhiana News – Times of India

Ludhiana: Ludhiana rural police arrested three members of a vehicle liftersgang after recovering 11 motorcycles from them. The arrested accused have been identified as Gurpreet Singh of Gagda village, Amandeep Singh of Saleempur village and Rajpreet Singh of Bhaini Araiyan. Two other accused were identified as Jeevan Singh of Chakkar village and Nirjit Singh of Saleempur village.
Police said that a team of CIA (Crime Investigating Agency) Staff was present at the bus stand in Sawaddi Khurd village for checking after being tipped off about the accused stealing motorcycles and other vehicles and selling them at a low price.
Gurpreet, Amandeep and Rajpreet were headed towards Jagraon city.
Police officials were informed that the accused were coming on a motorcycle without a number plate and stopped them at a bridge in Ramgarh Bhullar.
During interrogation, on the disclosure of the accused, police recovered 10 more motorcycles stolen from different places. A case was registered against Gurpreet, Amandeep, Rajpreet, Jeevan and Narjeet at Sadar Jagraon police station. tnn
