Jaipur: The appointments committee of the Union Cabinet has approved the empanelment of two senior IPS officers from the Rajasthan cadre, Rajesh Nirwan and Hemant Priyadarshi, to assume the important positions as director general (DGs) at the Centre.
Hemant Priyadarshi, an IPS officer of the 1992 batch, currently serves as the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) at the Rajasthan Anti-Corruption Bureau.Meanwhile, Rajesh Nirwan, also a 1992-batch IPS officer, holds the position of Director General of Home Guards in Rajasthan.
A senior official highlighted that a meticulous screening process preceded the empanelment of these officers for central services, underscoring their qualifications and capabilities.
Priyadarshi, with an M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, has held pivotal roles including (SP in Jalore and has served in key departments such as ATS, CID, and Intelligence. He has handled important assignments during his tenure with CBI.
Nirwan holds a Chartered Accountancy degree, an MBA, and a Master’s in police management. He served as SP in CID (CB) in Jaipur and also had a stint with CBI. TNN
