Lucknow: Following Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s direction to launch a crackdown on people involved in alleged paper leak of police recruitment examination, the police and special task force conducted raids across various districts, resulting in the arrest of 391 people.
They have been booked under relevant sections of the law and remanded to judicial custody.
According to officials, many suspects are currently being interrogated and action will be taken against them as per the law..
Law enforcement agencies have launched extensive operations, culminating in the recovery of incriminating evidence.
The scope of the crackdown extended beyond Uttar Pradesh, as arrests were also made from Haryana, Bihar, and Delhi.
Authorities anticipate further arrests in the coming days as the investigation progresses.
STF sources said that scrutiny and questioning the arrested people was underway. “Teams have been formed and raiding are being conducted to nail the perpetrators,” said a senior officer privy to the probe.
