AMBALA: Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi on Monday virtually inaugurated seven railway over bridges (ROBs) and railway under bridges (RUBs) over Ambala division, aimed at enhancing connectivity and fostering development across various regions.
The ROBs inaugurated by PM include ROB-98 in Yamunanagar Jagadhri constructed at a cost of Rs 20.38 crore, ROB-25/2 in Uklana at Rs 69.52 crore and ROB-C/06 in Jamalpur Shaikhan at Rs 40.96 crore.
The RUBs include RUB-112 in Barara at Rs 11.05 crore, RUB-20 in Qila Raipur at Rs 3.37 crore, RUB-30 in Ahmedgarh at Rs 2.32 crore and RUB-48 in Himmatana at Rs 2.88 crore.
Ambala division senior division commercial manager Naveen Kumar said that the ROBs and RUBs will benefit in reducing congestion, enhance safety and connectivity, improve efficiency and increase capacity.
